FAQ

  • What do you give to the man who has everything? Why a caricature of himself, but of COURSE!
  • Why give a gift of caricature? We never met a man who didn't appreciate his face in caricature. It's a most unique gift.
  • What do you need to draw someone? A good photograph clearly shows the person, (their face should be no smaller than your thumbprint in order to glean the necessary information.  A full sized 8"x11" portrait photo is not necessary and is usually too 'posed'.  The best images are candid, but clear, and ought to be a 'good' picture of someone.. ie. it should 'look' like you know the person to look, not where you say to yourself 'That doesn't look like Joe'.  Multiple images can be helpful.
  • Will they come out ugly? Only if you want them to, but we exonerate ourselves from the fallout. ACTUALLY Bingham prides herself in being able to 'improve' on anyone.  That is, people usually wind up looking GOOD in their pictures.  Take a look at the recognizeable faces on this web site.  Most of the people look just fine!  (With the possible exception of Harry Reid.)
  • Do you ship Gift Caricatures? Yes, we use UPS.  Ground shipping is included.  Rush Shipping is extra.
  • How Many people can you do in one image? We have drawn entire office STAFFs in one Caricature!  There is no limit to the number of faces that may be added.  Though the quantity of faces - to a certain extent - determines the size of the paper required, and does impact the price of the art.
  • When should I choose COLOR and when B&W? Our best suggestion is that children prefer color, and adult caracatures are more sophisticated in B&W.  Though the customer decides here.
  • Do you caricature animals/pets? Absolutely. Animals in many cases LEND themselves to caricature. I once drew the 16 cats (including one posthumously) in one picture for an (obviously) animal lover. The client was able to identify EACH cat!
